Ultra Clear float glass, also named low iron float glass, is a new type of deeply processed glass manufactured through the same manner as clear float; however a large percentage of the iron content is removed. This results in glass with high clarity, high transmittance and which is highly smooth. Unlike Clear Float that has a green tint to the surface and edges, Low Iron is strikingly clear.
Ultra clear float glass is majorly used in counter and display windows exhibiting valuable products. The ultra clear float glass can be cut, holed and side-rubbed, and also can be tempered, laminated heat bent, coated, printed, and figured on the surface.
